The Lonely Road Back

Hello from Missoula as I begin work after a three day sleep-fest. Today I fast! Today I fast, yesterday I slow … no, that is not what I mean.  I am going to attempt to get my healing fat off now that my ankle is stronger. So today I will get cranky … today I am slow, yesterday I was fast.

I was at the top of the climb and got taken back down the hill.  Now I must start my journey back to the top.  The journey is the best part, right?  Yea!

I am sad today because last night I learned that a member of my “personal” family has passed into the clearing at the end of the path. I don’t want to say much more on this public space except that this person I had a great amount of respect for and besides that my best friend has this huge loss while I can not be close to him right now.

Enjoy the journey! Accomplishments last only moments and the rest of the time is spent on the journey.  Don’t waste it!  Isn’t that what we learn at times like this?
