This is part 20 in a series of blog posts that I am dedication to my favorite photos of 2009. Today’s inductee and now a resident in my “Ice and Snow” photo album is “Escape“. I took this photo December 27th, 2009 at 14:15 PM with my dying Canon SD 1000.
It was a couple days after Christmas and the holidays were winding to a close. I was feeling a little left out (a dysfunctional schema) and I couldn’t trick/guilt anyone into going outdoors for a “long one”. So I set off up the Sheep Mountain Trail. I got to Blue Point before I decided to turn around but before I did I snapped this beauty off looking back to the Rattlesnake and Missoula Valleys.
What I do like about winter is its beauty up in the mountains and what brings it all together (I mean “it all” together) is when the sun starts to set and gives a glow over the already beautiful landscape. It is a sign that even though it is about to get dark, it is beautiful, calm, peaceful, and bet of all
